Weekly Theme: Winter Warmers

For those heading into work freezing under their work-appropriate coat, with only a crisp button-down on underneath, consider adding something like this sweater from Brooks Brothers. A top layer over your button-down is the best way to add warmth without taking away comfort or steez. This lambswool cable crew neck from Brooks Brothers is super soft, and looks great in any cold weather work place. While this will keep your core warm, it sadly won’t melt the heart of your boss’ secretary, that, only flowers and favors can do. Stay warm, stay alert, get promoted.

Where are you? What time is it? Who's president? While this watch can't answer the last question, it can tell you the rest. This Waterbury Timex watch is more than meets the eye, as it transforms to tell time based on geolocation. Flying from country to country can take a toll on your inner clock, so if you are the world traveller, this watch is perfect. It has 24 different cities across the various timezones to align you to the local time when you move laterally, and a winter/summer indicator for when you travel horizontally, keeping you in the know. In addition, the face has a military time indicator, just in case you start confusing sunrise with sun set, which can be hard when you've been parting for 3 days straight in Vegas or Ibiza. These, along with a standard date dial are all set against a soft background of a world map, just to remind you how more there is to explore.

Smythson Ticking All the Boxes Panama Notebook

If you find yourself coming up with great ideas at odd times, are terrible with remembering lists, or can't seem to keep track of verbal invitations, then a pocket notebook is the thing to have. A Panama Notebook like this one from Smythson are great, and perfect for those still into the art of writing down notes by hand (which tends to improve data retention). While there are alternatives like those offered by field notes, these Panama notebooks are a bit more sturdy, due to their leather covers, meaning that will not fall apart after a month of it living in your back pocket. In terms of size, it's about the size of a medium stack of 3x5 cards which isn't too cumbersome for a pocket while still being worth the price tag.

Available on smythson.com on sale for $30

Topman Blue Chambray Button-Up

Every guy needs at least one shirt that can transition well from work to play, and nothing does that like a good chambray (check the rhyme gents). This Blue chambray button-up from Topman is a great work shirt that can be an even better going out option with a simple untucking. This specific shirt is designed in Topman's muscle fit style, meaning its has a fairly steep taper, and higher cut arm holes at the shoulders to help show off all the work you've been putting in at the gym with your New Years Resolution. That being said, this style is definitely more for body types that are wider at the shoulders than the waist, so keep that in mind. You can wear this with your (hopefully dwindling) fleet of khakis, navy blue chino's (for some blue on blue love) or olive cords for a warm, comfortable look that is riddled with texture.

Available on topman.com for $60

Club Monaco Tech Trousers

We are in the dog days of summer, but cooler temperatures are coming meaning now is the time to get the clothes you'll need for the cool summer nights, especially if they are on sale (like these are). These Tech Trousers from Club Monaco are made from a lightweight cotton, making them the perfect pant to transition from work to happy hour while not overheating. The pants are cuffed at the bottom, giving them the formality needed for work, but also has very narrow waist piping meaning a belt, if needed, would have to be thin and more casual. These let you dress your best and stay cool at your desk and at the bar, however, we suggest you stay out of the sun because these get a bit too hot in direct sunlight in weather over 75-degrees. We suggest you wear these with no-show socks, black drivers, and a white polo that has a small print or simple design.

Available on sale at ClubMonaco.com for $70 (on sale from $170)
