Weekly Theme: Fall Dinner Party

As we get further into Fall, warm garments that also look great will be a common combo you’ll see from us. These flannel lined chinos from Bonobos are exactly that. The flannel lining is super soft and warm without adding a tone of extra thickness to the pants, meaning they aren’t as bulky as you’d expect, and they still breathe. These in bonobos’ “wine” color are great for any Fall dinner or evening adventure, just make sure to pair them with something in a lighter color to not look like a ball of darkness.

Portuguese Flannel Shirt in Navy Review

Portuguese Flannel is at the top of the flannel game. A 4th-generation family operation, these Portuguese really know what their doing when it comes to flannel shirting. This shirt has white flecks woven into the navy, giving you a 100% cotton flannel shirt with some depth and texture that, most importantly, isn’t plaid (finally)! Add some diversity to your colder weather shirts, and move away from the heaps of plaid you sport all Fall.

Indochino Merino Wool Flannel Blazer

Winter is coming, and quickly. We seemed to have skipped over most Fall throughout the northern state, as daily highs are only reaching the mid 50s, and nightly temps are plunging even in the southern states. This means its time for some warmer sport coats. A great new guy on the scene is this merino wool flannel blazer from Indochino. The fabric is super soft, warm, and has a great roll on the collar. With a tread-count in the Super 100's the wool should stay together and last quite a while, meaning this can be inserted into your weekly wearers. And why wouldn't want to include this, it has a uniqueness your coworkers are likely not to have in their closets, setting you a part. The maroon and blue color combo allows it to go well with khakis, gray slacks, and blue jeans, so feel free to break this out for work and play.

Available on Indochino.com on sale for $280 (from $520)

United By Blue Pinnacle Plaid Flannel Button Down

I know, I know, we just posted a flannel a couple of days ago! But, we had to show you this one. It's a bit more expensive than the one we posted from Uniqlo, but the feel and fit of this button-down made this a must-share. The shoulders have just the right amount room for someone with a decent build and the silhouette cuts in at the hips just the right amount without causing a billowing pocket of fabric in the back. The collar has buttons, a must for us when looking for a soft-cotton shirt. The double breast pocket design adds utility while the box pleat in the back gives you some added room to move, meaning it will be perfect for a weekend trek or a weekday happy hour if you have any bars with a rooftop still open. We suggest you wear this with dark wash blue jeans or darker tan chinos or layer it with a simple-colored pocket T. As a reminder, with every purchase from United by Blue they will remove 1 pound of trash form a US park or waterway which just makes you feel good!

Uniqlo Checkered Flannel

The temperatures are lowering, meaning it's time to start adding the warm layers back into the daily rotation. While there are many takes on the fall classic, this cheaper, yet just-as-soft option from Uniqlo is a bit of a steal compared to the price points of many other brands that are just as soft. This specific flannel has a button down collar helping it maintain its shape, which tends to be an issue for the shirts made of a softer cotton material. We suggest you layer this with a plain white T and a pair of jeans, and hey there Delilah you got yourself a classic American outfit good for a trek to the coffee shop or the casual house party.
