Converse X Comme Des Garcon High Top Play Review

via converse.com

via converse.com

While the tag technically says "white" they are really just white canvas, meaning they're just a bit warmer than true white. This Comme Des Garçon play on the classic converse high top is fun, playful, trendy, and different than what you'll find everywhere on the street. They will dirty a little fast, but that's totally fine, and expected. Don't baby these, just go out, have a good time, and see who notices.

This week's theme is curb appeal, aka streetwear attire. SO it kick it off, lets go with an old staple: Nike Huaraches. While Nike Huarache's have been around since '91, they haven'y always looked like this. With an original inspiration from South American sandals and waterski boots, this once game-changing running shoe is now a street icon. The Huarache goes with pretty much all of your casual clothes and can be rocked on a weekday night out, or a weekend out and about. The cred is real, and this shoe looks real good. Pair with jeans, black, green, or maroon chinos, heck wear 'em with shorts and no shows, it all looks dope.

He was a sk8r boi (this is where you say) "she said see ya l8r boi". And while he may not have been good enough for her, these shoes are the grown-up version of your vans that are definitely good enough for us. Inspired by the hi-top Vans of yesteryear, these laced up and velcro-covered leather Icarus shoes from All Saints are the dress-up, dress-down, 'keep 'em clean' sneaks that you can wear with  chinos, jeans, joggers or a less formal suit. The best part is they are now over 50% off. The worst part is there is only a few sizes left in stock, so grab them soon.

Nike Air Presto Essentials

Summertime is the best time of year to explore your local city, touring around different bars and restaurants, adventuring to the parks with open air pop-ups, etc., all of which involve a lot of walking and standing. This makes it important to wear comfortable shoes that support your movement without making you look like a dad from Wisconsin, sporting some New Balance 506s. The Nike Air Presto Essential is a great sneaker that works well with any grayscaled (Black-Gray-White) chinos or standard khaki shorts, it has a really clean look that eludes to a more formal-inspired curb appeal while remaining breathable and comfy. We would suggest rocking these with any black, gray or white chinos or jeans, or khaki shorts like we mentioned earlier and any top that isn't brown.
